Rustichella Sugo All’Arrabbiatta (Chilli) Pasta Sauce (680g)

Rustichella d’Abruzzo takes craftsman-like care to produce a range of sughi (sauces) which have a superior texture and flavour.

This is a powerful sauce with the perfect balance between sweet, ripe tomatoes and the heat of the chillies. The word ‘arrabbiata’ means angry in Italian, and denotes the heat kick present in the dish. It contains: 89% tomato pulp; 8% extra virgin olive oil; 0.7% chilli; garlic; onion; and salt.

This explosive sauce suits all the Rustichella d’Abruzzo pasta shapes but is equally wonderful over baked fish or chicken, also combining well with pork sausage, anchovies or broccoli. Its use is really only limited by your imagination. It is ideal on pizza, in stews or soups, or even as a finishing sauce for risotti.
