The wheat chosen for this organic pasta was defined as the “most beautiful durum wheat that has ever appeared”. Named after the Abruzzo marquis Raffaele Cappelli, Senator of the Kingdom of Italy for his dedication to agricultural reform.
“Senatore Cappelli” durum wheat has a unique intense perfume of the wheat. Pasta made from this wheat is full flavoured, has exceptional texture and is extremely versatile. Try it with seafood-based condiments, such as shelled scampi, crispy leek and extra virgin olive oil.
Fusilli is one of the oldest pasta shapes and owes its name to the “spindle”, the tool used by spinners. In fact, fusilli were made by skilled hands by rolling the dough around a knitting needle. This spiral-shaped pasta shape is excellent for holding the sauce in the best possible way.
