Jura Comte Block Comte AOC (1.3kg)
One of Frances most popular cheeses, Jura Comte was one of the first cheeses to achieve to AOC status in 1958. AOC regulations require that comte is made from fresh raw cows milk, the cows must only be fed fresh food (not silage) and the cheese must be matured for at least 4 months.

Dense in texture but smooth on the palate, subtly salty but sweet, comte is the main ingredient for croque monsieur and the preferred cheese for fondue.
