Some of the rare wines which will be served include:

Mastrojanni Brunello Di Montalcino 2003
Produttori del Barbaresco 2001

A glass of each wine will be matched to Egidio’s traditional Italian food.

A Littlle Peice of Paris in Perth

Macarons (the French word for macaroons) are the best selling biscuit in French pastry shops. In Paris obsessed fans drive all over the city to pick up their favourite macarons from dedicated macaron patissieres who offer the biscuits in almost unlimited flavours.

Made simply from egg white, ground almond and sugar, they are notoriously difficult to make at home, requiring a perfect technique and lots of patience. Each biscuit must have a very thin, delicately crisp shell, with a soft slightly chewy centre and be perfectly filled with a flavoured butter cream or ganache.

Emmanuel Mollois is a French trained pastry chef who makes these macarons each week here in Perth and we’re thrilled to be able to offer them at The Grocer.

Each box contains ten macarons of mixed flavours (chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, pistachio, vanilla, lavender, orange and lemon). They contain no flour and are gluten free.

They come packed in a traditional French red box with a window so you can see the beautiful range of colours and flavours, making them the perfect gift.

They look absolutely gorgeous displayed on a tiered plate – just what you need for your next afternoon or morning tea!
